Cat Colonies

Municipalities, as a measure of protection and population control for freely roaming cats within their municipality, must establish cat colonies as a possible destination for these cats through capture, sterilization, identification, and release. The animals will be identified under the name of the competent Municipality in charge of monitoring and sanitary control of the colony.

Municipalities, supra-municipal entities, or regions must carry out activities such as collection, accommodation, and maintenance of abandoned or lost animals, as well as management of cat colonies.
